Established in 1984 and located in the UK, Brilliant Fires manufacture a unique collection of contemporary electric fires, all complimented by stunning fire surrounds and suites in a range of finishes.

2016
The new Brilliant Fires Showroom Opens.
The showroom, which is located in Cheshire, features a selection of stunning electric fires and wood burning stoves.
2015
Relocate from Lancashire to Cheshire.
Due to demand we waved goodbye to our Blackburn factory after 11 years and moved production to a factory in Cheshire.
2013
Brilliant Fires begins selling to the public.
2008
Brilliant Fires launch the UKs most innovative electric fire yet.
2008 was a big year for Brilliant Fires, with the development of the Newdawn range of electric fires. The stunning Newdawn range of electric fires has a flame effect that has previously never been possible in such a slim fire. It looks so impressive due to the innovative way the flames emerge from within the fuel bed.
2006
The UK’s very first 16 inch ‘Hole in the Wall’ gas fire is launched.
2004
Brilliant Fires move to a large, purpose built factory in Blackburn.
2000
The Slab Fire range is launched, featuring the first use of CORIAN®.
The iconic Slab gas and fire range is born and featured the first use of CORIAN® as a fire surround. The Slab fire was the CORIAN® fireplace that started it all and is still hugely popular to this day - proving that classical fireplace design principles stand the test of time!
1998
Brilliant Fires launch the UK’s first pebble effect fire.
Winter 1988
Jim Wright develops a ground-breaking Ceramic Forming Machine.
Autumn 1988
Fires distributed in Canada and Australia.
Summer 1988
Brilliant Award Winners!
Brilliant Fires go from strength to strength and in 1988 they win the Which? Award for the UK’s most realistic gas fire.
Spring 1988
Brilliant Fires move to a larger, purpose built factory.
1987
Brilliant Fires win Granada TV’s Flying Start competition.
Jim won Granada TV’s Flying Start competition. Flying Start was a competition to find great businesses in the Granada TV region (a little bit like Dragons Den!) This helped Brilliant Fires evolve into a world class UK manufacturer of gas fires, electric fires and fireplace accessories.

Brilliant Fires Move into their first factory.
1984
Brilliant Fires is born!
This was the year Jim Wright developed his very first gas fire - the Brilliant Deluxe. This proved to be extremely popular; Jim received several big orders and got Drugasar - a huge distributor - on-board which meant he quickly outgrew his small shop in Darwen.
1983
Founder Jim Wright opens his first shop.
Brilliant Fires founder Jim Wright opened his first shop on a terraced row in Darwen, selling and installing gas appliances. Given Jim’s entrepreneurial spirit it wasn’t long before he invented something better and more innovative than the products he was selling and thus Brilliant Fires was born!
